The QGate Innovations GmbH was founded in Vienna in November 2010. QGate started out as an innovative experiment: living spaces respectively things of our everyday life should be connected to the internet and thus promote the vision of the Internet of Things for everyone without being an expert. The QGate product series was launched as a project of the Microtronics Engineering GmbH and later spun out into the QGate Innovations GmbH. Over the year 2011 the current QGate-team was established which is operating the QGate platform consisting of the QGate product, the cloud platform, the online shop, app development and support.

The QGate Innovations GmbH develops and distributes solutions that connect electrical devices of our everyday life to the internet. Using the QGate App and offering a free app development platform, QGate – the intelligent mobile controller with embedded SIM, integrated temperature and light sensors, microphone and powermeter – makes it possible to monitor and operate electrical devices location-independently via smartphone, tablet or web browser.
