GEO Business is a platform for you to connect with the geospatial community and unlock the potential of geospatial innovation. This free-to-attend expo acts as a one-stop-shop for finding the latest solutions to collect, analyse, store and share spatial data. Plus, access unique learning opportunities. Choose from 120+ CPD-accredited sessions, ranging from inspirational case studies to big-picture panels. The event also provides an ideal platform to network with other forward-thinking professionals across the full geospatial ecosystem. Make new connections, collaborate and share ideas.

The free-to-attend expo is set to be the biggest and best edition yet, as the event celebrates its tenth anniversary. If all of this still isn’t enough to convince you to attend, here is a round-up of the top seven things you can expect to see at GEO Business.

Survey and Reality Capture Demo Zone

Experience live demonstrations and try out state-of-the-art technologies at the Survey and Reality Capture Demo Zone. A selection of GEO Business’ most pioneering exhibitors will be showcasing the latest advances in survey and reality capture in a mock construction environment.

Get up-close with tech ranging from drone-mounted laser scanners to reality capture modules for robots. And learn how these cutting-edge solutions allow for  rapid and precise capture of a physical environment, resulting in significant savings in time, money and resources.

Drone & UAV Stage

In partnership once again with ARPAS-UK, this continued collaboration aims to promote the use of drones in the geospatial industry. This year, it takes the shape of  a dedicated Drone & UAV Stage and ARPAS-UK Members Exhibition Pavilion.

Sessions on this stage will be packed full of informative and educational content, showcasing the latest drone and UAV technology and industry applications. Learn more on an array of topics, such as: regulations, survey accuracy, how to be a professional drone operator, how BVLOS will affect the geospatial world and more.

The Defence Pavilion

This new feature area for 2024 spotlights the range of geospatial technologies used by the British Army. At the Defence Pavilion, you can meet the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence – a crucial component of the UK’s Defence Intelligence and Strategic Command – located at RAF Wyton in Cambridgeshire.

The 135 Geographic Squadron Royal Engineers will also be present, an Army Reservist Unit that provides geospatial support to the Armed Forces. Head over to explore the British Army’s geospatial mobile capability hands-on, demonstrated from the back of an 18-tonne mobile mapping truck on display.

Earth Insights Stage

Another brand-new theatre is the Earth Insights Stage, in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult.

This is your chance to delve into the opportunities of satellite applications and get up to speed on the latest advancements in earth observation. Learn about pioneering use cases of space technologies in engaging presentations and panel discussions delivered by experts in the field.

GEO Business 10th Anniversary Drinks

Cheers to 10 years of GEO Business at the Anniversary Drinks, in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); Association for Geographic Information (AGI); The Survey Association (TSA) and Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).

Celebrate a decade with us at the end of day one (Wednesday 5th June). A great chance to unwind and network, the invite-only drinks will be hosted at the Novotel London ExCeL.

Dedicated Podcast Studio

Interviews with some of the best in geospatial be recording live right on the show floor in the new dedicated studio. Drop by to hear these insights first-hand and glimpse a revealing look at the latest innovation and technology. Or sign up for a link to all the episodes.

GEO Drinks Trail and Happy Hour

Another exciting networking opportunity is the GEO Drinks Trail and Happy Hour. Raise a glass with fellow geospatial innovators at the end of day one. This is your opportunity to network with speakers, peers, and colleagues, and make new connections. Grab a beer, juice, or mocktail and blow off some steam.

The whole geospatial ecosystem in one place

As always, the latest solutions from 130+ leading geospatial brands will make up the central exhibition at the show.

The tech on display will include 3D visualisation; aerial mapping; BIM; GIS/GNSS; laser scanning and LiDAR; machine learning and AI; mobile mapping; photogrammetry; point clouds; reality capture; remote sensing; robotics and automation; Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM); UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)/Drones Visualisation; augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR); and more.

Among the leading equipment manufacturers, software companies and service providers that have been confirmed to exhibit in 2024 are Coptrz, Esri UK, FARO Technologies, Flai Ai, JAVAD GNSS, NavVis, Radiodetection, RIEGL, Screening Eagle, SEP Geospatial, Spyrosoft, and Survey Max. Additional companies are being added to the list each week.

The show is also supported by four leading organisations: AGI, CICES, RICS, and TSA.

Learn and get inspired in the education programme

As well as a central exhibition, the event will feature a CPD-accredited programme, offering over 120 sessions across seven theatres.

Attendees can expect to be inspired and informed by a wide range of talks and panels, focusing on the key areas shaping geospatial. Further details will be announced soon.

Sessions will cover a range of different aspects of geospatial, including the built environment, infrastructure, transport, earth observation and satellite applications, drones, utilities and energy, surveying, GIS and data.

Speakers from 1Spatial, Arup, Atkins, Hexagon, Jacobs, Ordnance Survey, Geospatial Commission, Topcon and Wood PLC are just a few examples of big names in geospatial who were part of the line-up in 2023.

AISPECO, a manufacturer of advanced geospatial data collection, says: “GEO Business is much more ‘open’ as a conference since all the sessions happen right on the exhibition floor. This dynamic setup creates excellent opportunities for engaging conversations.”
